Justitia Concerten
From 1999 to 2015, Justitia Concerten Veghel was a fixture in Dutch chamber music. The concerts took place in Veghel's atmospheric Protestant Church, famous for its exceptional acoustics. During these years, the biggest names in Dutch classical music found their way to Veghel (and the audience found them).
Greatest artists
Legendary musicians including pianist Hans Eijsackers, clarinetist Lars Wouters van den Oudenweijer, flutist Marieke Schneemann, violinist Quirine Scheffers, cellist Quirine Viersen and mezzo-soprano Xenia Meijer graced the stage. Crossover artist Thijs van Leer also thrilled the audience with a surprising and versatile program.
In addition to the concerts in the church, the garden concerts at Bierens Incasso Advocaten also grew into a popular summer event. In this green oasis, visitors enjoyed years of performances by professional orchestras, talented amateurs and legendary icons such as Antje Monteiro and Willeke Alberti.
Between 2015 and 2017, the concert series was continued at Het Sterrentheater, located in Bierens' office. The focus here was on young, promising talent, making Het Sterrentheater a stage for the future of classical music.
A New Beginning
And now, almost a decade later, music is playing again. The spark is back, the desire is great. Justitia Concerten will make a sparkling restart in 2025 at Het Sterrentheater under the Bierens Foundation of Arts. With a programme where young talent and renowned musicians meet, magic returns.
The kickoff of this new chapter takes place on June 22, 2025 with a concert by soprano Yvon Kanters. It will be an afternoon full of emotion, virtuosity and renewed tradition.
